Thien Ho Earns Moms Demand Action Candidate Distinction in CA-06
SACRAMENTO, CA — Democrat Thien Ho has earned a 2026 Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate Distinction, a recognition awarded to candidates who have demonstrated they will support common-sense gun laws and advocate for safer communities if elected.
The distinction is awarded by Moms Demand Action to signal to its more than 11 million supporters, volunteers, and gun safety voters across the country that a candidate, if elected, will govern with gun safety in mind.
"As a prosecutor, I've seen firsthand what gun violence does to families and communities," said Thien Ho. "It destroys lives, traumatizes survivors, and leaves entire neighborhoods in fear. Sacramento families deserve a representative in Congress who will fight for common-sense gun safety measures, not one who votes to defund the very agencies keeping illegal weapons off our streets. I'm honored to earn this distinction and proud to stand with Moms Demand Action in this work."
Ho's record as a Sacramento County prosecutor gives him a unique lens on the real-world consequences of weak gun laws. As a member of Congress, Ho will fight to strengthen background checks, keep firearms out of the hands of domestic abusers, and close dangerous loopholes that put California families at risk.
