Friends,
Election Day didn't go the way we hoped — but I want to be clear: I am incredibly proud of this campaign, and I am deeply grateful to every single person who volunteered, donated, knocked doors, and believed in what we were building together.
We knew this race wouldn't be easy. We were up against a deep-pocketed opponent in Kevin Kiley — $2.1 million in his war chest, the backing of House Speaker Mike Johnson, and the full weight of the MAGA establishment behind him. We took that on anyway, not because it was easy, but because it was the right thing to do. Because we believed this community deserved a real choice.
We ran on a record of delivering real results for this district, and we made voters think seriously about what leadership in Congress can and should look like. I'm proud of that.
I want to thank every endorser, every supporter, and every voter who trusted us with their support. That trust means more than I can say.
While we wait for the final vote tally in CA-6, I remain hopeful that Democrats will push through to fight for this seat, and I will continue to support our efforts to flip the House every day between now and November.
Finally: My commitment to this community does not end today. This region has my full focus, and I will keep fighting for the people I have always fought for — the victims, the working families, and everyone, because we all deserve a leader who shows up for them.
Thank you.
From the bottom of my heart.
