SACRAMENTO, CA — In case you missed it, Sacramento County District Attorney Thien Ho received the endorsement from Congressman Derek Tran, a Democrat representing Orange County, CA.

“As the son of Vietnamese refugees, I — like Thien Ho — understand deeply that the promise of America is rooted in our shared values of liberty, justice, and human dignity,” Tran said. “Today, those values are under threat. Donald Trump is stripping away health care, driving up costs for working families, and disregarding the rule of law while enriching billionaire donors. In this moment, we need leaders like Thien Ho in Congress. As a respected prosecutor and District Attorney, he has spent his career standing up for fairness and protecting our communities. He would be an outstanding partner and a powerful addition to California’s Democratic delegation.”

Tran joins local leaders — including Sacramento Mayor Kevin McCarty and Assemblymember Stephanie Nguyen — in supporting Ho. Ho also announced he cleared $300,000 raised in the first 24 hours of his campaign.

During his launch, Ho spoke about his focus on affordability, vowing to make lowering the cost of living a core priority.
