Supporting Small Businesses & Strengthening Our Local Economy
Thien ho believes in
Small businesses are the backbone of communities across the district. They create local jobs, support neighborhood economies, and help define the character of our communities. But too many are struggling with rising costs, workforce shortages, and financial uncertainty.
Thien believes we don’t have to choose between supporting small businesses and protecting workers. A strong economy depends on both.
In Congress, he will:
• Expand access to affordable capital and small business loans
• Invest in workforce development, apprenticeship programs, and partnerships with labor unions to ensure businesses have access to a skilled, well-trained workforce
• Support fair wages and safe working conditions so working families can thrive and fully participate in the local economy
• Protect the right of workers to organize and collectively bargain
• Cut unnecessary red tape for small businesses while maintaining strong labor and consumer protections
• Strengthen domestic supply chains to lower costs and create good-paying American jobs
A thriving local economy means strong small businesses, empowered workers, and policies that reward hard work, not exploitation.
